Growing up in a small town I was the shy, quiet girl who did not say very much. So quiet in fact that my parents were ecstatic after the one time I got in trouble for talking in class! I preferred to be behind the scenes and was always ready to help out where needed.

I went to University and College for a career that ended up not being what I wanted. Feeling a bit lost and without experience at anything else, I found an entry level inside sales job at a tech company in the early 90s.

I thought it would be something to pay the bills until I figured out what I really wanted to do. It turned out to be a fun place to work, most of my coworkers were around the same age and those were the days of no expense spared promotions and parties. I got comfortable with the steady income, bought a condo, got married.

Still not knowing what I really wanted to do I stayed at what was a decent job, quickly moving out of sales to different positions within the company. As the years went by the long hours and long commute became increasingly draining. By the time my husband and I got home in the evenings we would have time to eat dinner and look at the TV for an hour before going to bed to get up early and do it over again. I was mentally exhausted.

Now I’ve come to realize I didn’t have the energy to pursue the things that make me happy and I certainly didn’t have the confidence to turn any of them into a good paying full time job.

I knew I needed a change but I didn’t want to move to another company. I wanted to work for myself but was not interested in network marketing (the thought of cold calling makes me want to run for the hills!).

I decided to turn to the online world and the idea of Crave Happy was born.  I want to help others find their passions, pursue their dreams, improve their connection to their inner happiness and consequently improve their life.
